30W, 65W or 100W? Choose the right USB-C charger
Share
Three chargers can have the same USB-C connector and serve very different routines. One might stay beside your bed for a phone; another might replace several adapters on a work desk.
The useful question is: how much power do your devices need, and how many will you charge at the same time? Here is a practical way to choose from the UGreen chargers in the Bits LB range.
Quick choice: start with your device's charging requirements, then allow for the other devices you want to connect. Treat the charger's headline wattage as a maximum, not a promise for every port.
What the wattage tells you
Watts describe power. With compatible USB Power Delivery equipment, the charger and device negotiate the power supplied. A higher-rated adapter does not make a phone accept all of its advertised wattage. The device, supported charging standard, cable and charging conditions determine the result. USB-IF explains the Power Delivery standard.
Check your phone or laptop manufacturer's recommended power and charging standard before choosing. Even within one device family, requirements can differ. For iPhone owners, Apple's fast-charging guide lists the relevant adapter and cable requirements by model.
30W: a simple option for one device
The UGreen 30W USB-C GaN Fast Charger has one USB-C port and up to 30W output. Consider it for a compatible phone, tablet or other device whose requirements fit that rating.
It suits a dedicated charging spot or a bag where you normally recharge one device at a time. If your phone's fastest charging mode needs a different protocol or more power, choose around that requirement instead. Do not assume 30W will suit a laptop simply because the plug fits.
65W: useful flexibility for a mixed routine
The UGreen Nexode 65W GaN Mini Fast Charger offers three charging ports and a 65W maximum output. It is a useful category to consider when you alternate between a phone, tablet and a USB-C laptop that can charge within its supported power limits.
Before using several ports together, check the model's power-sharing chart. A 65W charger should not be read as 65W available from each port simultaneously. This matters when the laptop needs most of the available power while a phone is plugged in.
100W: for a higher-power USB-C laptop setup
The UGreen Nexode Pro X757 100W has two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Its main USB-C port supports up to 100W when used on its own with a compatible device and cable.
Consider it if your laptop's requirements exceed the smaller options, or if you want a charger with more headroom for your particular combination of devices. Consult the port-sharing figures for that combination. A laptop that needs more than 100W, or uses a different charging system, may still require its own adapter.
Compare by routine
| Charger | Consider it for | Key check |
|---|---|---|
| UGreen 30W | One compatible phone or tablet at a time | Device's power and protocol requirements |
| UGreen Nexode 65W | A mixed phone, tablet and compatible laptop routine | Power available with your chosen ports in use |
| UGreen Nexode Pro 100W | A USB-C laptop with higher power requirements | Main-port output, cable rating and shared power |

The cable is part of the decision
For a setup that needs up to 100W USB-C charging, the Belkin BoostCharge CAB014 100W cable is an option in the Bits LB range. It uses USB-C at both ends and has a 2m double-braided cable.
Its power rating does not make it a high-speed video cable. Choose a cable for each job: charging power, data transfer and external displays are separate specifications. Belkin's product information describes its charging capabilities.
Before you buy
- Check the device's required wattage and charging standard.
- Check the output for the port or combination of ports you will use.
- Check the cable's power rating and connector at each end.
- Check the plug type and what is included with the exact product.
Will 100W charge my phone faster than 30W?
Only if the phone and charging setup support a mode that benefits from the extra power. Choose the charger around the device rather than the largest number.
